Hosted by the PEI Association for Newcomers to Canada, the Island's largest multicultural, family-friendly, free outdoor street festival is being expanded to three locations this year! For the 8th year it will be held in Charlottetown, and for the first time DiverseCity will take place in Kings and Prince Counties, in Montague and Summerside.
Come and experience a wide-range of cultural offerings -- music and dancing performances from seventeen different countries, displays and ethnocultural information booths, martial arts, activities, games, kids' events, and delicious international food. There really is something for everyone to enjoy.
Among the many exciting performances arranged for the two new locations, DiverseCity east and west will showcase one of the Island’s celebrated Acadian sons, Lennie Gallant. Lennie will delight the crowd just prior to the Festival’s trademark live Cuban-music street dance! The Count and Cuban Cocktail will perform in all three DiverseCity locations to wrap up each festival with some sizzlin' Latin tunes sure to get everyone up and moving their feet!
All three events will take place from 4:00 to 10:00pm.
