Job Fairs Across PEI - Try a Trade
March 6 - 15
Posted: Wednesday 1st March 2017 21:30
The PEIANC Employment Assistance Service (EAS) invites newcomers to Canada to attend Work PEI Job Fairs coming up this month. There are fairs being held in the following locations: Montague, O'Leary, Summerside and Charlottetown.
New interactive features will allow job seekers to "try a trade." Tools and equipment will be available for people to try their hand at robotics, electronics, and electromechanical trades.
More than 75 employers are registered for the Career Fairs including the PEI Public Service Commission, RCMP, Master Packaging, D.P. Murphy, Canadian Armed Forces, and Team Seafood. Together they have listed over 675 job openings.
Career information sessions will also be held at all four locations. Besides meeting employers, job seekers can register with WorkPEI and find out about skills training programs.
Job seekers can expect to answer questions or to ask them, and to drop off their resumes. Employment Assistance Service suggests that those attending a job fair dress professionally, bring a resume, and be ready to "try a trade" and to talk to employers.
