Driver's license is often one of the first Canadian documents newcomers need to obtain when they arrive to PEI. Even if they have a valid driver's license from their country of origin, the law requires that they pass the driver's exam to get this essential document.
Many times language is a serious barrier in passing the driver's exam and getting the license. The PEI ANC recognized the need, and conducted the translation of the Driver's Hanbook into Arabic and Chinese (Mandarin).
