Coffee Connecting Cultures

Thank You for Your Support

Timothy's World Coffee was the hot-spot on Friday, October 15th, for the first ever Coffee Connecting Cultures gathering. The PEI ANC's Host Program teamed up with Timothy's to host this event and to recognize the Host - Friendship Program and those who take part as volunteers and Program participants.

Newcomers and volunteers enjoying the program at the Coffee Connecting Cultures event.

The event featured ethnic music, coffee and fun!  It was a chance for current Friendship Program volunteers and their newcomer friends to catch up, and also the opportunity for interested potential participants to learn about the Program. The night was a success as several new volunteers filled out applications and began the process of being paired with a newcomer in a friend hip match.

The PEI ANC would like to thank everyone who came out to support Coffee Connecting Cultures.  Special thanks go out to the musicians who provided entertainment and the Friendship Program volunteers and participants who shared their experiences. We also extend our gratitude to Timothy's World Coffee for their continued support by providing free coffee and a meeting place for the Friendship matches.

Since 1993 the PEI ANC's Host Program has been connecting newcomers and established Canadians, and forming new relationships. Besides the Friendship Program, the Host Program now also runs the English-as-an-Additional-Language Volunteer Tutoring Program and the Business Mentorship Program.
