Art Exhibit Celebrates Talent of Newcomers to PEI

The work of seven artists, all newcomers to PEI, is the focus of a new exhibit opening Friday, March 7, 2008, at the Gallery @ The Guild. Artists John Molina, Samuel Sanchez, Mauricio Aristizabal, María Andrea Gutiérrez (from Colombia), Warren Reeson (from England) and Marcela & Sergio Golod (from Argentina) carry impressive artistic credentials from their birth countries and as well as their adopted home.
Their work ranges from oils to acrylics to graphic art to fused glass. The Prince Edward Island Council of the Arts invites everyone to come and join with the artists, their friends and families, at the opening reception, which takes place from 3 – 6 p.m. on Friday, March 7 at the Gallery @ The Guild, located at the corner of Queen and Richmond Streets.
