Bursary for Refugee Women Pursuing Education

The Inge Blackett Memorial Bursary, established in 2003, is for a female PEI resident who entered Canada as a refugee and is pursuing further education. The bursary is worth $300.
An eligible applicant:
- is 18 years of age or older
- has been granted refugee status in Canada
- shows financial need
- faces financial or other barriers to achieving her goals
- is pursuing educational / training opportunities towards meaningful employment
A complete application requires:
- an application form with complete details
- form submitted to the PEI Advisory Council on the Status of Women by the deadline of November 15

Bourse à la mémoire d'Inge Blackett pour une étudiante résidente de l’Î.-P.-É. qui est entrée au Canada comme réfugiée et qui poursuit son éducation - 300.00 $
Une étudiante admissible
- a 18 ans ou plus;
- s'est vu accorder le statut de réfugiée au Canada;
- montre un besoin financier;
- fait face à des obstacles financiers ou autres dans la réalisation de ses objectifs;
- poursuit des possibilités éducatives ou d’apprentissage vers un emploi significatif.
Une demande complète doit
- comprendre un formulaire et tous les détails;
- être soumise au Conseil consultatif sur la situation de la femme de l’Î.-P.-É. au plus tard le 15 novembre.
