The Canadian Language Benchmarks Placement Test (CLBPT) is the first step for newcomers when registering for LINC (Language Instruction for Newcomers to Canada) programs. Candidates must undergo evaluation in four categories; reading, writing, listening and speaking. After evaluation candidates will be placed in a class matching their ability.
To be eligible for CLBPT testing at PEI Association for Newcomers to Canada, applicants must hold permanent resident status and be a recent immigrant to Prince Edward Island.
